Finding the perfect Mehandi outfit ft. Jharonka

With the Indian wedding season starting, the stress of getting the perfect outfit is REEALLL! Ofcourse you want to look out of the world and bag compliments on your outfits but you if you are someone like me you want all of the that but do not want to spend a bomb. Also, getting the outfits stitched, getting lace, matching dupatta’s is just way too hectic and the general problem with shopping Indian wear is that it all looks the same. You must already know by now that I love traditional Indian handicrafts like bandhej, gotta patti work, while looking for it online I came across a website called Jharonka, an exclusive label from the house of Craftsvilla.
I found a lot of authentic handmade products on their website like kalamkari, ajrakh, bandhani etc which are made at various clusters in India. I also saw a lot of intricate hand made jewellery in different metals& materials.

Since I have a special love for everything colourful, I checked out their “Colours of Khambat” , a bandhani and gota patti work collection and my search of my perfect mehandi outfit began. A blue kurta dress with multi-coloured tassels caught my eye. This dress was everything that I wanted in a Mehandi outfit, the colourful tassels at the sleeves and the back added such a fun element and I got it right away.

By the time I got the dress, I had already styled it in my head. I wanted the look to be super comfortable with hints of traditional. The dress looked even better in person, I loved how the colourful tassels contrasted with the navy of the dress.
I knew I wanted to keep the colourful vibe going so I tied my hair in a low bun and added a pom pom hair-tie to my bun. These little details add so much character and individuality to the look.

To continue with the kutch-inspired vibe I paired the dress with my silver choker and to be honest that was the only accessory I needed. If you are someone who doesn’t like to go extra, so can go for a pair of silver jhumka’s instead!

And to complete my Mehandi look, I decided to match my make-up to the colorful tassels of the dress. I went for a sunset orange eyeshadow and a bright pop of magenta on my lips.

I am also eyeing a pink Bandhej Anarkali set, check out the full “Colours of Khambat” collection here. I hope this post helps you out in finding your perfect mehandi outfit that makes your individuality shine just like this one.
