| Picnic with India Circus |
This story is about a girl who lives in a world of her own. Trusting nature more than she trusts humans. Taking inspiration from nature, playing with birds, flowers and butterflies. She spends her time gazing at the clouds in the sky and gasping when a cloud resembles a fluffy bunny.
Living in a word of her own,
doodling her thoughts sitting on the carpet of grass,
A place where the flowers bloom,
The birds chirp,
and the butterflies flutter.
She is the delusion of a perfect illusion.
She copies the birds,
and her eyes flutters like the butterflies,
Flowers and leaves are her toys,
and birds are her friends.
She is the girl with the big eyes,
leaving her footprints in the sands of time.
Living in a world of her own.

I have been in love with the weather lately. The winter days have become so warm and sunny and it’s a perfect weather for picnics. I love picnics. The excitement of packing the food, beverages, bed sheet and blankets into a picnic basket. Picnics are about slowing down and taking a step back, being closer to nature and taking pleasure in mundane things of life like chirping of birds or spotting a butterfly.
With the advent of technology people are losing their connection with nature. Most of us would rather spent the New Year’s Eve dancing in a club with blaring music rather than going for a picnic. Picnics aren’t that cool maybe. Remember going to India Gate with your parents for picnic in winters? I bet all of us have done that. The simple joy in eating the food packed from home and drinking that hot coffee along with it and then running like crazy playing pakdan-pakdaie.
In this post I am featuring India Circus by Krsnaa Mehta. This brand needs know introduction, offering everything from home decor to fashion. India Circus is the one of the few brands that draw inspiration from nature, along with Mughal influences and everything Indian. Their products are full of quirk and color. The riot of colors, prints and different elements like nature, Mughal architecture while retaining the “indian-ness” of it all, truly makes it a circus, but a beautiful one. I absolutely love their lap tray with the quirky auto print and my absolute favourite colors turquoise and indian pink. It’s multi-functional as one can use it for using laptop, doodling or reading.
Also India Circus is having a sale so don’t forget to check out their quirky stuff at http://indiacircus.com/ and buy yourself something pretty for the new year. Also stay tuned for the NYE outfit post that would be up on the blog soon, you can check out the sneakpeek on my instagram.
