I am a self-proclaimed lover and collector of all things vintage, vintage inspired and anything that has a hint of nostalgia and old world charm and vintage nostalgia was my idea behind putting together this look too. I wore heirloom vintage, my mom’s vintage blouse and my grandmother’s silver belt, for the first day of the Fashion week that I attended, you can read all about that here.
I decided to continue with the vintage theme for my second fashion week look too. I decided to wear ITR by Khyati Pandey, she is one of my favourite home-grown designers and her designs always have a hint of romantic old world charm. Khyati decided to make a custom floral slip dress with a gorgeous cape to pair with, very vintage inspired!
When I got this dress, I wanted to style a look that gives a sense of warmth, comfort and nostalgia. I am all about details and I decided to add little details to this outfit. Let me start talking about the make-up first!
It’s no secret that I love purple, I had decided to do a pink smokey eye and pink nude lips but while doing my make-up I decided to inject a pop of color and I did purple smokey eyes instead (you can check out the vlog for my make-up breakdown). I added some freckles because I feel freckles look super cute and completed the look with nude lips.
Talking about accessories, I styled the dress with a very vintage looking black bag from Hidesign and added a unicorn and doll charm to add a hint of that old school nostalgia.
I decided to add another element of nostalgia with bows. For my hair I did a low sausage ponytail and I decided to add bows and flowers to my hair. My mom Diy’ed these bow hair ties for me and my friends loved these so much that they took these home. I loved how cute my hair looked.
To complete the look I decided to add my mom’s vintage sandals.
I think this one of my favourite fashion week looks that I have put together, I mean I love how the details work together cohesively and give a sense of sweet romanticism, warmth, comfort and nostalgia. Which is your favourite fashion look? Vintage nostalgia or Vintage Heirloom?
