Twin set : You need this versatile piece in your closet

There’s no doubt about the fact that twin sets or co-ord sets or matching sets, whatever you want to call them are definitely the most versatile piece in your closet. I absolutely love twin sets and I am sure I would be wearing them even after they aren’t “trendy” anymore, well I don’t even know they are still trendy! I live for the matchy-matchy moment.

Twin set : Beebak Studio

Just to make my case stronger let me tell you why I love twin sets :

  1. Twin set is literally a no brainer piece of clothing, you don’t have to match the top and bottoms and after putting on a set you still look chic and put together!
  2. Versatility! Just pair the top and bottoms separately and you have two different outfits.
  3. Monochrome matchy-matchy does make a statement!

Now that I have made my case stronger, let me teel you that I recently got this beautiful hand-crafted cotton twin set from Beebak Studio, a homegrown label based in Chattisgarh, co-founded by Kavita and Anjali, what is truly amazing is that they work closely with local artisans to create their pieces for the women of today. When I got the set, I knew that I would definitely style it in more than one way! So here I am, styling this twin set in 3 different ways and I hope you guys enjoy the images.

1. Matchy-Matchy Moment

The modern desi twist

For the first look I decided to matchy-matchy and wear the twin set as it is supposed to be worn with some desi accessories ofcourse. I paired it with gold chandbali’s and a hand-embroidered vinatge bag. And then I added these embroidered royal blue jutti’s. Don’t miss the matching blue eyeshadow!

I feel this look could even work for a casual mehandi ceremony or festivals or might be your casual going out look, it legit depends on how extra you really are!

2. Picnic Chic

Accessories can change the whole mood of the outfit.

I don’t care if picnic chic is a trend or not, it doesn’t matter if I just made this trend up right now, because this picnic chic look, looks super cute.

Bow Sildes : Sarojini Nagar | Scarf : Mom’s | Earrings : Trade fair |Sunglasses : Bhuntar Market

For this skirt, I paired the skirt from the twin set with white lace bodysuit. I added these nineties inspired micro sunglasses and tied a blue silk scarf to my ponytail for that retro vintage vibe.

Continuing with the accessories, I added these colorful beaded hoops which were 30 rupees buy, added a brown waist belt, carried a straw bag that is bigger than me and can probably fit me and wore my velvet bow slides. Pretty cute picnic chic look right?

3. Denimize

Add some denim!

This look is definitely the most dressed down and the most casual one, literally all I did was wear the top from the twin set with a pair of high-waist mom jeans.

Crop Top : Bebaak Studio | Slides : Mymy footwear | Jeans : Bhane | Cat Bag : Delhi Haat

Like this is literally the most casual I can be, I tied my hair in loose side ponytail, added a pair of sunglasses and continuing with the monochrome look I took along my mini cat bag, that I am obsessed with, and you already know that if you have watched my outfits of the week video on my YouTube channel.

Added the finishing touches to my look with these metallic silver slides and these rectangular sunglasses!
