How to wear your Sharara (flared pants)
Indian fashion fascinates me like nothing else. All the latest trends have Indian counterparts, I mean crop tops are basically blouses only, maxi skirts are lehangas and now the flared pants ( which by the way are really hot right now ) are basically shararas. The only difference is that we Indians do over the top everything, embroidery, sequins, crystals and what not.
I loved flared pants the minute I saw them on Zara but I decided not to buy them because they costed a bomb and I obviously did not want to spend that much on a single piece of clothing. So I decided to make most of my closet when I realised that flared pants that I saw there are basically a Sharara. I had this basic purple sharara lying in my closet and I decided to make the most of it. There are numerous ways in which you can style your embroidered shararas.
- Pair your sharara (flared pants) with a classic white shirt tucked in and belt it up. Add your favourite jhumka’s for Ind0 fusion outfit.
- Wear it with a basic crop top in a neutral color and layer it up with a denim jacket. Add over-sized sunglasses for a more casual vibe.
- Pair it with a denim shirt, knot it up at the front, carry a cross body bag and tie your hair up in a top knot for effortless summer look.
There are a number of ways to style shararas( flared pants ) but I decided to go the high street fashion way, since my sharara had no embroidery and was pretty basic. I paired the sharara (flared pants) with a over-sized silver silk blazer and belted it up with a corset belt. With my hair up in a high pony tail, I wore a gold snake choker that I am obsessed with right now. I added a mini fringe bag to complete the look.
Could you have guessed that I am wearing a sharara if I hadn’t tell you? Do let me know.
