It was my birthday last weekend and I had an amazing one and the best thing was I got to hog so much. I am still in the celebration mood hehe! I have been really tired of trends like florals for spring. I used to love floral prints (I am a flower lover and if you follow me on Instagram, you would already know that) but now if I spot anything floral, my brain and heart both tell me to stay away. Sometimes trends get so over done that they lose their charm.
I am a shoe lover.
I would never call myself a hoarder, I am a collector.
I have carefully created a collection of shoes, each piece unique and different from each other serving its own purpose. I don’t discriminate between shoes, I love them all, give me heels, flats, sneakers and I will be a happy kid. Ever thought about floral on leather? Trust me, I never did. I wanted to get a pair of white gladiators for the longest time. When I came across this brand called Osca Donna, I was impressed with their craftsmanship. I saw these pretty pair of Arya Convertible Sandals in white leather with flowers embossed over them, I knew I had to get them. You know how when a trend gets over-done it loses its charm, that was the reason I did not get any gladiators in white until now. But these one’s come with a twist. They have straps at the back with vintage gold knob rivets and these babies are hand-crafted.
Osca Donna is home-grown brand by Jasmine Kochar and Karan Vats, with an aim to design shoes with international appeal but their shoes also reflects customer’s individuality as they provide customization therefore the sandal had a perfect fit. They do not simply add products to their catalog but work on each concept so that the final shoe has its own identity and expresses individuality. They use various mediums like fabrics and leather to achieve the desired look. All the karigars(craftsmen) they have are the masters of their own fields and a single pair takes 1-2 days to be crafted and an embroidered pair takes 2-4 days.
Spring is the perfect time for light layering. I wore an over-sized pin-stripe shirt dress with a button-up denim dress as cape. Layering two shirts of different lengths looks really cool. Also, I have shown you a total of four ways to style a button-up denim dress, check it out here, here and here. I added an ice-cream brooch that I made myself (by the way tutorial is coming up soon) which added individuality to the whole attire. I tied up my hair in a low pony-tail and added round reflectors. I carried a blue envelope clutch. The sandals held the whole outfit together. These sandals are summer perfect and you can buy them here.
Did I mention that these sandals are convertible? You can remove the metallic zipper and wear them as slip-ons too!
Truly a transitional piece for the transitional weather.
Check it out here.
Also, one does look like a super hero with a cape flying behind.
Happy Women’s Day to all the super heroes out there.
Until Next Time,
