What I wore to Fashion Week, Day 2
I wore a 10-year-old boy’s night suit to Fashion Week, sounds like a click bait right? But it totally isn’t, it is just plain simple truth. This look was photographed by a lot of photographers and it was called a cat print by most of them. So let me tell you the story about this outfit. I am regular at handicrafts and Dastkar Mela’s because that is the kind of person I am. I saw this tiger print at Dastkar Ranthambore’s stall at the last Dasktar and I couldn’t forget about it. Dastkar Ranthambore is a NGO of Ranthambore National Park (famous for its tigers), which provides livelihood to the villagers, mainly women of that area. So this time around, I knew what I had to get, but the downer was they did not have any adult clothes in this print and these were the boy’s night suits that they had. Being the petite girl that I am, thank god for that, it makes all my fashion dreams come true, I asked them to give me a night suit that would fit a 10-year old boy and rest is history.
I hope that I get the courage to wear all my pretty night suits as night suits, because I never do that, do you remember red satin pajama set that I wore as a co-ord set? When I bought this night suit, I already knew that it would never be worn as a night suit. I decided to wear this as a twin set for fashion week, since I rarely do minimal, I decided to dress it up. I paired it with a bright yellow block print belt bag, I hated fanny packs to be honest, but I fell in love with the structured refined version, the belt bags. Went for a bit of summer layering by wearing my mustard yellow shirt dress as a cape, layered a few chokers and gold chains and added a final touch with “Moda Yalda” custom-made earrings.
I went all out with my makeup as well and created this bold burgundy eye-makeup look. You can check out the tutorial for this look on my YouTube Channel. I did sleek centre-parted hair pinned on the sides.
