| What I wore for Day 2 at AIFWAW17 |
If you read my last post What I wore for Day 1 at AIFWAW17, you already know that I decided to take inspiration from my favourite designers and their collections for the fashion week this time. My fashion is all about individuality and not many understand it and it is too much to take for all lot of people too. But Fashion is all about preference and choices and fashion can not be judged.
I decided to take inspiration from Lanvin F/W 2013 for my Day 2 outfit. I remember how awestruck I was when I first saw the 3D insect embroidery on their clothes. It was the coolest thing I had seen in a while. I decided to my own version of that, I had a cape lying around so I asked my mom to embroider butterflies and dragonflies on the back. I kept the look pretty basic with ripped jeans, black boots, statement sunglasses and a bucket bag. I did mauve purple lips for the look and did soft waves for my hair.

I have always loved prints and colors and Anupamaa Dayal is known for her colorful designs. I was ecstatic about wearing Apumanaa Dayal for her show. I wore a bottle green A-line dress with beautiful flower prints and polka dots on it. I paired the dress with boots and bag from look 1 and belted the dress at the waist and layered a denim jacket. I wore “Karma” earrings by Nakhrewaali to compete the look. And oh boy this look sure was a head turner!

| Favourite shows from Day 2 at AIFWAW17 |
Huemn’s show started with a concept beautiful video about their label. This sheer dress with floral embroidery gas my heart. The collection is very wearable with with loose fir trousers and jackets being the focus. There is not doubt that Huemn outdoes itself everytime.
HEMANT AND NANDITA
Hemant and Nandita’s show is the one show I look forward to each season. Their AW17 collection was a beautiful play between the flowy feminine silhouettes and power dressing. The satin silk lace up heels were my absolute favourites. The mic between androgyny and femininity came out beautifully on the ramp. Tie-up corset belts, clean-cuts and structured outerwear did the power play.
Dark florals with corset belts and satin silk lace up heels with socks (femininity and androgyny right there) create a beautiful visual romance on the ramp.
PERO BY ANEETH ARORA
Inspired by the wanderers and the travellers and the easy dressing, Pero’s show was all about loose flowing silhouttes, signature pero embroidery, layers and all things colorful. Oh and I had my eyes on those blue velvet boots all the time. The collection had colorful pom-pom and tassels details.
This is how the Day 2 at AIFWAW17 looked like.
