The Cupcake Dress
Food X Fashion Series
( Pet Project)
Hand painted donut and cupcake shift dress : Adagio | Pink bell sleeve tee : Naomi Code | Fur bag : Jabong | Patent leather bow slides : Street Style Store
Food and Fashion are two F-words that I absolutely love and can’t do without and that is concept behind this pet project too. It is no secret that I do not like mass-produced clothing, yes styling does make a lot of difference to the outfits but ultimately everyone’s wearing the same thing and mass production pollutes the environment too. Giving clothes stories and individuality is the main reason why I make hand-painted clothes for my brand Adagio, being a lover of art I make clothes my canvas.
I made this cupcake dress around 2 years back when I could not find a single cupcake print either online or in the markets. I have worn this dress numerous times already and it is time that this dress makes it’s way to the blog. If you guys read the Part I of Food x Fashion series, you guys know that I am absolutely crushing on the monochrome trend right now. This post is a continuation of my obsession with monochrome and pink.
Continuing with the easy casual vibe for summer dressing I layered my cupcake dress by wearing pink bell sleeve top underneath it, carried a fur bag and wore my patent leather bow slides. I wore this dress for a post birthday brunch with my best friend at AnnaMaya and I couldn’t help but get this look clicked. Shooting a post in the kitchen of a 5 star hotel had me jumping up and down with the excitement (checking it off my bucket list already hehe!).
I was too lazy to do anything with my hair so I kept it open. Kept the makeup minimal with a pink lip color because who loves layers of make up melting in Delhi heat?
Part II marks the end of Food X Fashion series. You can read about the Part I “Not your cup of Chai” here.
I hope guys like the series. I mean who doesn’t like fashion and food? Hehe. Jk. Ok!
Until Next Time
