| Amazon India Fashion Week, Day 4|
Dolce & Gabbana inspired embellished pants
There’s a reason I like statement pieces, statement pieces celebrate individuality. My Amazon Indian Fashion Week outfits had a statement piece each day and day 4 was no different. I did D&G inspired embellished pants for the last day, giving the pants a military inspired fashion twist. On Day 1, the statement piece was a Gucci inspired hand-painted skirt, Lanvin inspired embroidered butterfly and dragonfly cape for Day 2 and a hand-painted Dior inspired skirt for Day 3.
Basics are the building blocks of any wardrobe but statement pieces are what gives your style an individuality, so I never think twice before investing in a statement pieces. I consider myself more of a collector of clothes rather than a hoarder. I want these pieces to last with me for years to come. It’s okay if you do not relate with my twisted little fantasy.
So when I saw the D&G embellished pants I knew I had to DIY something similar. My mom’s beads and buttons Pandora’s box came in very handy and so did the Christmas tree charms. My mom started this DIY project by sewing everything and anything on the pants. Be it buttons, crystals, patches or chains. These pants are not everyone’s cup of tea but I absolutely loved how they turned out.
I am a big fan of military inspired fashion and I love power dressing. So I decided to pair these embellished pants with a khaki choker crop top and wore my vintage button-up dress as a duster coat. Boxer braids are my go to hairstyle for any military inspired look hence the braids. The beautiful handcrafted gold earcuffs were the only accessory I wore. I completed my look with mules and a leather duffel bag.
