I know I should have posted the outfits that I wore to AIFW SS17 earlier but I did not want my posts to be lost amongst the huge amount of social media buzz that is created during the Fashion Week. I wanted to talk about my outfits and the idea behind putting together each outfit. I decided not to wear any designers to the fashion week. I wanted to stay true to my personal style and present it in a true untamed manner.
Indian Modern Festive
For the first day I decided to stick to the theme of the AIFW SS17 which was ‘India Modern Festive’. I had read somewhere that when opting for a ‘Slogan’ piece of clothing one should keep everything else basic. I don’t believe that something as volatile as fashion can have any rules. So I decided to wear three ‘slogan’ pieces together. I wore my “Rich beach earrings” with “Sanskari” hand-painted denim jacket and carried a back that said “chic”.
Coming to the look, I wore a brocade slip dress and layered it with hand-painted denim jacket ( both from Adagio ). I wore black sneakers, wore my glasses and tied my hair up in space buns. Needless to say this jacket stole the show and people kept me asking till Day 5 if I was the girl who wore the ‘Sanskari’ jacket.

Military meets Safari
Military meets Safari was the idea that I had in my head while deciding the outfit for Day 2. I wore a khaki wrap dress and decided to accessorize the whole outfit only with belts. I added four belts of various widths and different shades of brown. I wore a think black belt as choker and if you notice my heels have belt buckles too.
I tied my hair in boxer braids, wore my glasses and carried a bag with zebra print scarf tied on it.

Shine Like a Disco Ball
If you guys follow my blog or Instagram you might know that I love dressing OTT (Over the top). For this look I decide to let my clothes do the talking and ditched the accessories. I wore this amazing embroidered crop top by Param Sahib and ‘Cham Cham’ mirror skirt by Adagio. I tied up my hair in a messy high bun, carried a pink fur bag and wore my white sneakers. I finished the look with silver reflectors.

Great Gatsby Inspired Vintage
I love Great Gatsby. The opulent and extravagant fashion with sheer sophistication is just love. I decided to channel Great Gatsby inspired vintage fashion for this look. I wore a powder pink high neck top with a pink ruffle skirt. I did a sleek hairdo by parting my hair in the centre and tying them in a low ponytail. I added a belt and beautiful crystal and tassel statement earrings. I wore bow detail block heels to finish the look.

Bow block heels : Sarojini Nagar
I wore a self-designed hand-painted and hand-embroidered dress for the last day. It’s no secret that I absolutely love flowers and vintage clothes. I decided to combine my love for both of these in this dress. The ruffle hem and bell sleeves give it a vintage feel. I paired the dress with scallop heels, vintage inspired sunglasses and carried a back pack with flower detail.
